People Operations Manager
Reports To: Parker Ence (CEO) or Head of Finance
Location: Draper, UT
Primarily an in-person role with some flexibility for occasional remote work.
About the Role
As our first dedicated People Operations hire, you’ll be the go-to person for all things people at Jump. This role is a mix of HR, recruiting support, employee experience, team operations, onboarding, light IT, and anything else the team might need. Jump has a stated goal to create a career-making place where top tier talent loves to work, and you will play an important role in ensuring we recruit a high performing team that is happy, productive, and set up for success.
What You’ll Do
People Operations & HR
Own and improve people processes, full cycle from onboarding to offboarding
Support employee benefits, perks, and compliance as we scale
Help establish light performance management processes (goal setting, feedback, etc.)
Maintain and optimize our HR tech stack (HRIS, payroll, etc.)
Recruiting & Talent Support
Partner with hiring managers to support effective and efficient recruiting efforts
Deliver an exceptional candidate experience
Manage job postings, screening, and scheduling interviews
Facilitate team learning and development opportunities
Team Operations & Culture
Discover ways to improve Jump’s work velocity by removing hassle for team members
Make sure that both our physical office and our remote team members have a great work experience
Plan team events, socials, team appreciation, and celebrations to build a strong culture
Organize company-wide meetings and team offsites
Facilitate company communication and knowledge sharing
Onboarding & IT Support
Support new hire onboarding, ensuring employees have a smooth start
Handle light IT setup (e.g., managing company accounts, device assignment)
Assist in setting up and maintaining internal documentation and tools
Special Projects & Misc
No task is too small or too large - take on any project the team needs to help Jump win

People Operations Generalist – You love working across multiple functions and figuring things out

Collaborative & Clear Communicator: You are an excellent written and verbal communicator who can work with anyone in any department to get things done.
Qualifications
You’ve done this role (or at least most of the elements of this role) at a tech startup that scaled from ~50 to 100s of team members
You’ve managed people operations for in-person, remote, and hybrid teams
You have deep experience configuring, customizing, and using Rippling. You are also experienced with setting up and using ATS.
You have a track record as a top 10% performer
